This week the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) announced this year's winners of the Gold Mouse Award, recognizing best practices in online communications on Capitol Hill. DCS is thrilled to report that two of our clients were recognized for their online presence: Congresswoman Jackie Speier and Congressman Ed Perlmutter.

As part of the review process, each website was assessed on a range of criteria, including "the website's usability, the quality of the information to constituents, and the quality of the website's technology". Also considered was the site's use of social media components.

CMF has noted that winners of the Mouse Award "set the bar for congressional websites and take full advantage of all the unique opportunities the Internet provides." Congresswoman Speier's website was awarded a Gold Mouse Award, and Congressman Perlmutter's site received a Silver Mouse Award.
